The hydraulic press is a machine tool capable of developing high forces of pressure that plastically deform the material processed reducing it to the desired shape. The presses are usually constituted by a fixed bench, by uprights, by a transom and by a movable sledge. In the hydraulic presses the sledge is moved by cylinder at oil, taking advantage of Pascal’s law that says: “if one acts on a fluid by subjecting it to a pressure on a point, that pressure propagates in all directions with the same intensity.”
